The current technique demonstrated in the Watercolor Batik is accomplished with watercolor and a combination of three hot waxes. A lifting process and nonabsorbent barrier gives the area painted the ability to flow. Many layers of medium allows development of depth and shading. This technique was first formulated for high school art students having difficulty transitioning from acrylics and oils to watercolors. After extended practice and developing the technique further I was able to perfect an original form of the Contemporary Watercolor Batik you see today. The Watercolor Batik is artist wrapped on stretcher bars with a finished backing and wire ready to hang. Now you have an opportunity to own an example of this style of art for your collection.
The Watercolors on paper are matted and shrink wrapped for protection until you choose the frame of your choose. These watercolors are accomplished in the traditional style on heavy grade watercolor paper with the finest watercolor paints available. Many layers create the final effect of depth and shadowing.
Purchase of all paintings are wrapped and shipped with padding boards for protection. Satisfaction is assured on delivery.
